Shahr-e
Sūkhté meaning (Burnt City), also spelled asShahr-i Shōkhta, is an archaeological site of a sizable Bronze Age
urban settlement, associated with the Jiroft
culture. It is located in Sistan and Baluchistan Province , the southeastern part of
Iran.
Archeologists during the past season of excavations in Burnt City
revealed that the industrial city to be burned in industrial workshops making
pottery and jewelry in the area, residents of the city burned to the nature of
the trees in the area have fuel.
